Asana Consulting & Training FAQ
Answers to frequently asked questions about my Asana Consulting & Training services.
These are the questions organizations most often ask about my Asana consulting and training. If you'd like to explore working together, start an Asana inquiry using the button below and share some information about your organization.
-
I work with organizations of all sizes, from small firms to large enterprises with multiple teams, across a wide range of industries. The common thread is a desire to improve how their people communicate and collaborate, with Asana as the tool that supports it.
-
I've worked with and evaluated a range of tools over the years. Asana stands out for its balance of simplicity and depth: approachable enough for everyday use, yet capable of handling complex work. It's also the tool I rely on to run my own work and client collaborations at Technically Simple.
-
I'm happy to answer questions by email. Beyond that, every engagement starts with the Discovery Session: a paid, 90-minute consulting session where I learn about your organization, review your current Asana setup if you have one, and provide specific recommendations.
-
Yes. You work directly with me, Tim Stringer, from start to finish. Technically Simple is a boutique practice, so there are no junior consultants and no handoffs: the person you talk to is the person who designs your system and leads your training.
-
The Discovery Session is billed hourly. If you'd like to move forward, I typically provide a fixed-cost proposal for the design and training work that follows. For smaller engagements, I sometimes bill hourly throughout. Current rates are on the Pricing page.
-
Yes. I work entirely remotely. All sessions are held over Zoom.
-
Yes. Sessions can be recorded for internal use, at no additional cost. Just let me know at the start of the session.
-
Yes. Many of the organizations I work with already use Asana. The Discovery Session includes a review of your current setup, and from there I recommend ways to refine and standardize it.
-
I provide training as part of a broader engagement rather than as a standalone service, because it's most effective when built around a system designed for the way your organization works. Every engagement begins with a Discovery Session.
-
I don't provide ad hoc technical support. For everyday questions, Asana's help resources and support team are excellent. For existing clients, I'm happy to schedule follow-up sessions as your needs evolve.
-
The Discovery Session involves a few key people from your organization, or just you. Training is for everyone who will be using Asana.
-
It depends on the size of your organization and the complexity of the setup, but most engagements take somewhere between six weeks and three months.
