Zoom Consulting & Training
I help individuals and organizations make their Zoom meetings and webinars engaging
An engaging Zoom session doesn't happen by chance. It comes from a thoughtful setup and presenters who feel at ease with the technology, so the focus stays on the people, not the platform. From everyday meetings to training, workshops, and large virtual events, I work with you to design Zoom sessions and train the people who run them.
How I Can Help
We begin with a 90-minute session, which typically includes learning about the work you do and planning or fine-tuning an upcoming event. I highlight the Zoom features that will create the most significant engagement and show you how to use them in practice.
As a minimum, I recommend a one-hour follow-up session. More involved engagements can span several sessions, often with separate time for the people working behind the scenes and the presenters they support.
The initial session is billed at my standard consulting rate. Additional consulting and training is billed on either a fixed-cost or hourly basis.
Design and Training
I help you design sessions that are engaging and memorable, and that create real human connection. I'm very familiar with Zoom's feature set. I help you and the people you work with get up and running, and build the confidence to run Zoom sessions on your own.
I don't provide ongoing technical support or host sessions for you. Instead, I equip you and the people you work with to run Zoom sessions confidently on your own.
My Background with Zoom
I started using Zoom in 2013, after a long search for an online meeting platform that would let people work together without the technology getting in the way. My early, creative use of Zoom caught the company's attention, and they featured Technically Simple in one of their customer case studies.
It was the clear winner then, and I've run my own consulting and training on it ever since, across hundreds of meetings, workshops, and courses.
Who I’ve Worked With
I've helped people and organizations around the world deliver a wide range of events on Zoom, across many industries. A few examples:
Associations: helping member and student associations bring their events and sense of community online.
Conferences: multi-track virtual conferences with hundreds of attendees, including setting up an engaging environment and preparing hosts and presenters.
Professional Training: virtual classroom experiences for programs that lead to professional certifications.
Workshops: working with coaches, consultants, and facilitators to design virtual workshops that balance large-group and small-group interaction.
Yoga and Meditation: supporting teachers and studios moving classes and teacher training online, drawing on my own experience teaching since 1999.
