Technically Simple was founded on the premise that technology has the potential to enhance our lives and expand our expand our horizons. I recently had the opportunity to chat with my good friend, Dave Stachowiak about this topic on his Coaching for Leaders podcast.
We reminisced about life in the “good old days” and marvelled at the what’s possible with the advent of all of the amazing technology that we have at our disposal in this modern age. Case in point, Dave and I live roughly 2,000 km (about 1,240 miles) from each other and likely would never have met if it weren’t for modern technology. Our discussions also brought us back to the importance of good, old-fashioned human connection, especially for those of us who accomplish much of our work virtually.
In keeping with the theme of the podcast, we used our video conferencing solution of choice, Zoom and made our conversation available in both audio and video format. The audio recording and additional information is available on the Coaching for Leaders website. On a side note, if you want to give Zoom a try, go ahead and create a free account.
Thanks to Dave for having me on the podcast for a second time (I was also on the show last year — 151: How To Be More Productive). I’m also grateful for the friendship we’ve cultivated since connecting last year and for all the support and encouragement he’s shown me along the way.
On a side note, Dave has a second podcast that I also highly recommend. It’s called Carnegie Coach and is based on the teachings of Dale Carnegie. Episodes are typically 5-10 minutes in length, with each one sharing a tidbit of practical wisdom from Dale Carnegie’s timeless teachings, accented by Dave’s natural enthusiasm and entertaining and engaging stories.
