It was a pleasure to join my friend, Dave Stachowiak on his excellent Coaching for Leaders podcast to discuss strategies for leading effective virtual events using Zoom.
I discovered Zoom back in 2013, and it’s a technology that’s had a profoundly positive impact on my company and, by extension, on the people and organizations that I serve. What I shared in the interview draws from what I’ve learned using Zoom for my own virtual events combined with insights gained from helping organizations around the world make the transition from in-person to virtual events.
Dave and I discussed best practices for leading virtual events. We talked about the importance of design and planning and explored a variety of ways to leverage Zoom’s excellent feature set to keep participants engaged.
Visit the episode page to listen to the interview and for a synopsis of some of the key points. You’ll also find a link to a PDF file that includes a summary of some of the recommended practices that I’ve developed over the years.
While you’re at it, consider subscribing to the Coaching for Leaders podcast and signing up for a free membership. Dave has a vast amount of knowledge and experience to share and speaks with a varied assortment of interesting guests. Past guests include some familiar names, including David Allen, James Clear, and Seth Godin.
